2,500 YEARS OF SPORTS HISTORY IN DIGITAL SPACE
The German Sport & Olympic Museum’s app is a digital companion through 2,500 years of sport history. It offers an exciting and emotional journey through time from antiquity to the modern age, where unforgettable highlights, outstanding athletes, triumphant victories and bitter defeats can be experienced at first hand. It also provides useful information, for example on opening hours, special exhibitions or events.
Our museum app is based on an innovative technology that uses so-called IBeacons (Bluetooth radio transmitters). These automatically connect to smartphones. There are sixty beacons in the exhibition, which can be identified through clearly visible stickers and an overview map available in the app.
